About Woodfield

Woodfield is one of Central London’s most distinctive and sought-after neighbourhoods, known for its impressive architecture, mature tree-lined streets and convenient access to Victoria Park, Richmond Row and Downtown London. In 2016, Woodfield was recognized as a Great Neighbourhood through the Great Places in Canada awards.

The area contains an exceptional variety of housing. Properties range from smaller Victorian and Edwardian detached homes to large estate residences, grand historic homes and some of London’s most recognizable older mansions. Many homes retain original features such as detailed brickwork, wide front porches, high ceilings, stained glass and decorative woodwork.

Woodfield also includes duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes, converted multi-family dwellings, apartment buildings, townhomes and selected infill developments. Some properties remain traditional single-family residences, while others have been adapted over time to provide multiple residential units.

Different streets offer noticeable differences in lot size, architecture, parking, property condition and overall setting. Some streets are lined with substantial historic homes and landscaped grounds, while others offer smaller houses, rental properties and a greater mix of residential styles.

Woodfield is generally one of the higher-priced neighbourhoods within London’s central and downtown area. Its architectural character, desirable streets, proximity to Victoria Park and limited supply of larger historic homes contribute to its strong appeal.

The broader neighbourhood includes the East Woodfield and West Woodfield Heritage Conservation Districts, along with properties located outside the designated district boundaries. Its combination of history, central convenience and diverse housing gives Woodfield a character unlike any other neighbourhood in London.
